Mophie Powerstation Plus Review: Integrated Cable Is Both Blessing And Curse

Mophie has a new Powerstation Plus backup battery, and it aims for compact, all-in-one design that should reduce bulk and complication when you’re searching for supplementary power. The new design builds a cable right into the power pack, which holds a battery powerful enough to charge your iPhone up to eight extra times, depending on the capacity you choose. Our review unit has enough to give the iPhone 6 around another 21 hours of use, but the integrated cable design might not be for everyone. Design Mophie’s Powerstations were already industry leaders – the company didn’t really need to alter its design to change its reputation. But the new look is decidedly more fashion-forward. The small, sandwich design with metal surfaces top and bottom could easily be mistaken for a business card folio or ultra-modern cigarette case. Listen to Frank Ocean’s New Single ‘Memrise’

After much speculation ado in his near two-year absence from the limelight, Frank Ocean quietly took to Tumblr to gift eager fans with new work on Thanksgiving. The piece, titled “Memrise,” is a particularly lo-fi, fragmented number that seems an ode to a lover past. The title, perhaps interpreted as a play on both ‘memorize’ and ‘sunrise’ – or waking up with the memory of an old partner – is a powerful, yet somber term that potentially signifies a more brooding aesthetic from the California native. Enjoy “Memrise” below and stay tuned to HYPETRAK for more news on Frank Ocean. Article source:...

Girl looks distractingly svelte as she rocks pieces from Champion Vintage, Band of Outsiders, and Hermes – although we suspect the clothes themselves aren’t the real draw here. Enjoy some photos from the editorial above, then head to your local international newsstand to pick up the latest LUI. Article source:...

Sony’s Unknown Fashion Entertainments Brand Releases an E-Paper Watch

Sony‘s Fashion Entertainments, a relatively unknown division of progressive, fashion-minded gadgets, has welcomed itself into the tech world through an innovative series of e-paper watches. The watches are a far cry from the current crop of wearable technology timepieces which rely heavily on interconnectivity as a selling point. Instead, the watches are ultra simple and focused on aesthetics. The realization of these watches came courtesy of a crowd funding campaign on the Japanese site Makuake. There’s no word yet on a launch date, but given the interest, there’s a good chance these will see the light of day sooner, rather than later. Article source:...
